Be extremely cautious if someone asks for money, airtime, cryptocurrency, investments, emergency funds or financial assistance. Never send money merely because someone you met online asks you to.
Meeting someone
Meet in a public place, arrange your own transport, tell someone you trust where you are going, keep your phone available and leave if you feel unsafe.
Travel Buddy
Independently verify travel arrangements, accommodation and identity. Keep control of your passport, money, tickets and accommodation. A Mingoling connection is not a guarantee of another person’s identity or reliability.
Block and report
If an interaction feels unsafe, stop communicating. Block the account and report concerning behaviour to Mingoling. Contact local emergency services or authorities where immediate danger or suspected criminal activity is involved.
